My Songkarn Festival
Songkarn festival is one of the
most important festivals in Thailand that has been performed for a long time. Songkarn
is a Sanskrit word which means “move into”. In this instance, it means the
movement of the sun into the sign of the Zodiac, which is New Year in Solar
calendar. It begins on 13th April and ends in 15th April.
The pouring water is meant as a symbol of washing away the bad.
In Songkarn Festival last year, I
went to Hua Hin with my family. The traffic from Bangkok was very terrible. We
had stayed at a resort in Huahin for 3 days. We went to a 3D art gallery at Venezia
Huahin, a new tourist attraction at that time. There are many exciting 3D paintings
that people can take photos with. At night, I and my family went to Huahin-night
market. The seafood is very good. Last day before we back home, we went to Santorini
Water Fantasy. I really enjoy this trip.
This year, my mother is planning to
go to Wang Nam Khiao, Nakorn Ratchasima. Because she want to go to her favorite
temple names Wat Pra Rattanawan which has very calm and natural. And I want to
go to Wang Nam Khiao too because of the fresh air. Moreover, I and my friends
have planned to go to Siam and Silom for playing water on 14th April.
